Your responsibilities:

• Independently handling sea freight shipments for import, export and cross-trade
• Organising and coordinating FCL, LCL, Ro/Ro, out-of-gauge and breakbulk shipments
• Planning and handling shipments for oversized and overweight goods
• Organising and coordinating international pre- and post-carriage as well as road transport
• Obtaining and preparing spot quotations and ad hoc cost estimates
• Coordinating with customers, shipping lines, agents, suppliers and other international partners
• Monitoring shipments and ensuring timely and smooth handling
• Processing the relevant transport and customs documentation
• Assisting with the management of complex international transport and logistics projects

Your profile:

• Completed training as a freight forwarding clerk (EFZ) or equivalent qualification
• Several years’ professional experience in the field of sea freight
• Substantial experience in import, export and cross-trade
• Good knowledge of various sea freight solutions such as FCL, LCL, Ro/Ro, OOG and breakbulk
• Experience in handling oversized and overweight cargo would be an advantage
• Experience with international road transport
• Experience in project freight forwarding would be an advantage
• Good written and spoken German and English
• Knowledge of other languages, particularly French or Italian, would be an advantage
• Good organisational skills and a structured, independent approach to work
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
• Highly customer- and service-oriented
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility and resilience
• Enjoyment of an international and dynamic working environment
