TGP Brasil transports vital mining equipment from China to Brazil

Pará State, Brazil, Monday 9th October 2023: TGP Basil has showcased an exceptional level of innovation and flexibility as it transported vital mining equipment from Shanghai, China to the Araguaia Nickel Project in Pará State, Brazil.

The team expertly choreographed the challenging which involved, most notably, a 110-metre furnace and an 802-ton dryer.

The TGP Brasil team got creative to work around any issues, including a lack of local infrastructure.

This resulted in the team moving the cargo down the Araguaia River on specially configured barges and establishing their own jetty – a feat that had never been attempted on the river before.

Our innovative approach proved to be a massive success, which culminated in TGP being shortlisted for Project of the Year at last year’s The Heavy Lift Awards 2023.
